My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This very handsome young man is around 1.5 years old and weighs in at about 60 lbs. Boone was adopted out about 5 months ago and recently returned to us. He is such a friendly, happy, outgoing, and fun boy. Boone enjoys going for runs, Boone never meets a stranger enjoys, sunny days, and cuddly nights. He would prefer to not live in an apartment because he loves plenty of room and lots of exercise. With his breed mix, he must stay busy and well-exercised! He would do best with an experienced adopter, bonus if you have had Hounds. He has not shown any food aggression with his own food, but according to his previous adopters if he manages to steal any human food, then he may snap if you try to steal it back. He's not trying to be difficult, but he feels he got it fair and square so he wants to keep the good stuff! This behavior can be managed and worked on. We think it's best if he goes to a home without very small kids who may not understand giving him space if he did steal food that they were eating. We have not seen this behavior from him while in our care but we feel any new home is aware of it to ensure a good fit. Overall, Boone is a total love bug that is going to make such a great family companion!

Boone is in CT and waiting to find his forever home!! If you are interested in adopting this Boone, please email your adoption coordinator to set up a meet. You can also apply online on our website, but you must be pre-approved before setting up an appointment to adopt.
