Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Evie is a young adult female standard grey chinchilla, approximately seven months old. Her prior owners purchased her from a pet store as a birthday gift for their young child. Since they’re child was so young, Evie was handled very roughly and has since become very nervous around humans. Her previous owners surrendered her due to this reason. Evie does not like to be held, she prefers to have a quiet, dark place to relax when she feels overwhelmed. Evie would be a great companion for a college student, a young couple, or someone with chin experience.
Although a home with prior chinchilla experience would be a plus, it is not required. When she feels overwhelmed, she does bark and runaway but she has never bitten thus far. Evie is looking for a home where she can live out her days chewing her pine toys, applewood and have a cozy hidey hut to sleep in. She does not like other chinchillas and would not do well with small children. She does come with a few supplies to help make her transition into a new home more comfortable.
Since she is a special case, Evie’s adoption fee is $40 to ensure that she goes to the best home possible. This adoption fee helps us make sure that the adopter is serious and to help keep our rescue going. If you are interested in giving her a furever home, please feel free to send us an email.
