My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Dino! This gentle giant is all about one thing: being with his favorite people! Dino is a sweet Rottie mix estimated to be 5 years old and weighing in at a respectable 80 pounds! While his favorite past time is more of the Netflix & Cuddle variety, he also loves to go on long walks with a best bud and explore the world through his nose. But a backyard with bird and squirrel-viewing would work as well!

Dino has settled into the house life and is potty trained. We don't know much about his early life except that he was found in the backyard of an abandoned house - and we suspect his owners left him there 😔. Understandably, he was hesitant to let his favorite people get too far. Dino has worked with a trainer on his insecurities around being abandoned again, and we’ve learned that when he has a trusted and bonded canine sibling (or two!) nearby, Dino is just fine to chill at home and wait for his family’s return. But a forever family with someone who works from home or where someone is generally around would be a bonus!

We think Dino would do best in a home with a calm, laid back dog. He’s not big on the rough-and-tumble play, so young, energetic dog siblings wouldn’t be the best match.

We don’t know yet if Dino would be a good match with kitties or young kiddos as his foster doesn’t have any of those. But he has met and does well with older, considerate kids.
