Ethel is a Boxer. She is Fawn and White. Ethel is 2 Years Old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She weighs around 50 lbs.
Ethel is a beautiful girl who just can't stop wiggling her body! She's so excited to see anyone that she just wiggles that bottom of hers and wags her little stub just for someone giving her a little attention. She was found tied to a tree when her former owners moved away and left her there without food, water or shelter. Ethel was extremely thin when we got her and also has wounds on her body and a eye infection. Ethel now has a shiny beautiful coat and is up to a good weight. She loves running around the house, hopping like a bunny and enjoying playing with anyone! She loves food and is finally learning she doesn't have to be afraid that she's not getting another meal after this, but still Ethel likes to go over to her bowl and grab a huge mouthful and then move somewhere else and then eat it. She's a silly girl who is a joy to watch just enjoy life. She also is very demanding when it comes to dinner time, as soon as she hears kibble she will follow you around the house barking to get your attention. Ethel does know how to "Sit" and enjoys all the yummy treats she gets for being such a good girl! Ethel would enjoy obiedence training, since she does enjoy jumping on your to get your attention, but just working with her a little bit each night would probably be great as well. Ethel is a very sweet girl who just makes you smile when you see her, she is looking for her forever home and hoping that she gets one before the holidays!
Ethel would do well in any household. She loves everyone she meets, including adults, kids and other dogs. We would like Ethel to go to a home with a fenced in backyard. She does well on the leash in her harness but she loves to jump around and run in the yard so she would love a fenced in backyard to do that. We would love Ethel to go to a home with another doggie to play with, she loves to jump around and wrestle with other dogs and she would really love a friend. She is used to being allowed on the furniture so that is a must, Ethel doesn't chew at all so there would be no problems with letting her roam around free while your not there either. Ethel is not housetrained but with a little work she could easily become it. Ethel is a very special girl who just wants a home where she will be loved and spoiled like she deserves.
Ethel is not aggressive with other dogs, she has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors.
There is a $100 Adoption Fee for all dogs. Which includes the Spay/Neuter, Parvo/Distemper Combo Shot, Rabies Shot, Worming, Heartworm Tested Negative if over 6 months and Flea/Tick Prevention.
