Huey Lewis, here's the news! Can you believe that someone dumped this precious boy in a local park? He was hanging around for a couple of months, really right where his former owners left him. Some awesome people figured out an extraction plan and after about an hour of working to convince him that they were there for good, Huey was finally safe! It has taken him a bit to get back to a fun loving boy that his personality always hinted to, but with the help of his fabulous foster humans and truly incredible foster dog sisters, he has really come around! He is still a little nervous about meeting new people as can be expected, but his innate sweetness and desire to trust is always present. He will continue to blossom and become the amazing dog he was always meant to be! He is pretty minimal when it comes to his wish list for his new family, but his top three must-haves are 1) another dog (or dogs!) that likes to play and cuddle and can be a good role model 2) a fenced yard so he can enjoy all the fun of #1, and 3) someone(s) who will keep teaching him that people are kind and that having new experiences will never include getting left at a park ever again. He is about a year old, a hound something mix, about 30lbs, is crate, leash, and house trained. He will be fully vetted through East CAN as of 12/04/2020. He would likely get along with cats but because of his current timidness, small kids wouldn't be the best for him right now. His adoption fee is $150 following the two week adoption trial.
