Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Myra! She's 8 years old, 35-39lbs & a very good girl! Unfortunately, Myra's mom passed away & her home is being sold to a family that likes Myra but can not keep her because she doesn't get along with her dogs. Her mom's roommate has moved out of the house into another apartment & Myra will not enter the house where her mom's roommate lives - possibly because it is a basement apartment & she can't do stairs well. So Myra needs a new family. She was originally adopted at around 2 years of age from a rescue down south & has lived for 6 years with her mom until she sadly passed away. Myra would do best in a home without children & possibly no other dogs given that she didn't like the new ones she was introduced to when the new family bought her mom's house. She did nip a child when she was about 3 years old because the child ran into the house unannounced & scared Myra so that is why we are saying no children as we can't be sure that she wouldn't nip at a child again. Here is a little note from her caretaker: "Myra is a sweet 8 year old hound mix. She loves to be with adults not so fond of small children. She is a squirrel chaser and has gotten very close to getting one. She has bilateral ACL issues and this does not slow her down much. Where we used to live there is a ramp for an older dog she will use the stairs which there are 4. She will be all up to date with vaccinations by Nov. 21. I am heartbroken that I must give her up where I moved to is not compatible with her needs. I love her very much and I want to do the best for her. She eats Taste of the Wild, Salmon with Ancient Grains. She has no skin or digestive issues. I give treats sparingly, she really likes sweet potato chips or fries for dogs. Carrots, apples and sometimes blueberries. Also an occaisional ice cube she love crunching them."
