My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Teddy is being Fostered in the St Louis area.**

Teddy might be the cutest pup in town, and he wants his forever family to know these 10 things about him!

1. I am a Rottweiler-Mastiff mix, and I am about 4-5 years old.

2. I tip the scales at about 110lbs, and that is a healthy weight for me.

3. I really love people. I think I would do well in a home with kids older than 14.

4. The words that best describe me are adorable, sweet, friendly, and affectionate.

5. Although I’ve mostly only met larger dogs, so far I haven’t found a canine that I didn’t get along with. As long as my new owners were willing to give me a proper introduction to their dogs, I think I could happily live in a home with other pups.

6. I’m very interested in the resident feline in my foster home. I am learning to be redirected but the jury is still out if I can be trusted to cohabitate with cats.

7. My two favorite things are getting attention from humans and playing with toys (I’ve been known to carry a ball or bone around with me on my walks!).

8. I am housebroken, wonderful in the crate, and I am perfecting my leash skills!

9. I have osteoarthritis in my both my back and front legs. It doesn’t bother me too much but I will probably need to take medication and/or supplements for the rest of my life. While I can and do go up/down a small flight of stairs at my Foster Home, a home with no more than a short flight of stairs would be best. Luckily for everyone, I take medicine and treats very gently.

10. I am fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped.

Ready to give Teddy the forever home of his dreams? Fill out our Adoption Application, located at www.bullpenrescue.org under the 'work with us' tab.

We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation.

Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.
