My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lewis is a very sweet 1-2 year old Shitzu/Poodle mix(we think).  He is a little shy at first, but warms up very quickly.  He loves to be near his human friends but also gets along very well with other dogs, and loves playing with toys.  He loves to go for walks so he can explore his neighborhood, he will take it upon himself to go for a walk by himself if the door is left open too long.  Lewis is kennel trained and loves to go into his kennel at bedtime, and is potty trained as well.  A fenced in yard will be required.  He is neutered, up to date on all of his vaccinations, heart-worm negative,  microchipped and taking his monthly flea/tick/hw preventatives.  You can apply to adopt via our website at www.handsofhoperescue.com or email for an application if you are unable to complete one online. No phone calls accepted.  Lewis's adoption fee is $250.   All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dogs foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. This dog is fostered in Norton, KS and adopter must drive to pick up. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process.
