Here's what the humans have to say about me:
She zips! She zooms! She jumps! Lucy is a dog who loves dogs. She likes to play, she likes to cuddle, she likes to take her bone and go to town. She is a fun loving girl with a weird past which she fully embraces and she would like to share her story with you. After her house was visited by Animal Control for suspected neglect, Lucy jumped the fence and landed in her kind neighbor's yard. He had seen her caged over the year and knew that she hadn't really had positive human interaction, so he fed her and let her have her space. Over time he earned her trust and then when he thought she was ready to move on to a real home, he contacted us to help with her extraction. We operated on a ninja level using roasted chicken and random pallets available in the yard. Her rescue was very anti-climatic; when we had her corralled we put on a leash and wrapped her in a blanket and that was that. She learned all kinds of new things in her foster home, like how to trust people. play with dogs, destroy a squeaky toy, and burrow in a plush blanket. She learned how to walk on a leash -- there is a whole new world out there with all kinds of cool things happening! And she wants to be a part of all. of. it. She is petite in stature but big in personality. If you have a dog that loves to play, that would be great! If you have a yard where she can show off her speed and agility, she would love that! If you gravitate toward the shy dog with tons of potential, that would be amazing! Lucy is a cool, sweet, pretty dog that deserves all the fun things that life has to offer. She is crate, house, and leash trained. She is about 40lbs, 2 years, and is fully vaccinated, fixed, and chipped.
