My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kane is a Yorkshire Terrier bought by my daughter as a puppy and eventually became mine. After my mother's dog tragically died, she asked to keep Kane temporarily, then permanenty...his home for the past few years. Now my mom is unable to give Kane the care he needs. I have a dog and cannot have two dogs.Kane is almost 13 years old, has slipping back leg knee caps which cause weakness in them. He walks well, but does not go up stairs and I am not sure what the future holds for his ability to walk. He has a lot of bad teeth. He loves food and I always soak it so he can more easily eat. He is a very spirited dog that loves companionship and is very unhappy being alone. He does not like being held, but likes nearness. He is very alert. He likes children but is afraid of them and being picked up by them, and might bite for this reason. He is potty trained but needs to pee more frequently than a younger dog.
Kane knows what he wants but needs some help.
