Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweetie is a sweetie! This little kitten was rescued from under someone's house - all by herself, with no parents to be seen. She was trapped, and kept by the woman for about a week, then she escaped!! The woman diligently put out the trap again, and three days later, Sweetie was trapped again! But Sweetie was a little bit old for trapping and taming a feral kitten, so she is currently still a little skittish with people. Here's the strange thing about Sweetie though -- she purrs in her hammock when we walk into the room, and when you pick her up, she flops in your lap and lets you put her on her back, while she looks up at you, purring the whole time, being completely gentle and sweet. But if you put her down on the floor and she gets 2 feet away from you, and she looks back and sees "oh my gosh, a human!" then she runs for the nearest hiding spot. So she just needs more time to learn to be comfortable around humans, or she needs to be adopted by her forever home, and to bond with her special person.
We have listed her color as "mostly black" because she has just a few white hairs on her chest, and she has undertones of tabby striping. But in general, she is black, with lovely greenish eyes, and a very gentle and sweet temperament. She gets along fine with other cats, and she will make someone a very nice companion if you have patience and treat her gently so you don't frighten her.
Because of her need to be brought out of her shell, we are looking for an experienced cat person, or someone with a very calm and quiet demeanor and lifestyle. If you live a loud and hectic lifestyle, then Sweetie would not be the right kitten for you. (For that lifestyle, we recommend our little Black and White fireball named Taylor!) But if you live a calm lifestyle, please consider making Sweetie a part of your forever family.
Sweetie is spayed, had one round of deworming, is flea-free, and has had her Rabies vaccination. She will need all of her other kitten vaccinations.
