Pietra is a 7lb cutie. We pulled her from a neighboring pound on 10/6. She has not been aged yet.

Pietra is your typical feisty chihuahua with an uncertainty for strangers. She loves you to pieces once she gets to know you and trust you. Ask staff to leash her up for a walk and you may have a best friend when you get back! Pietra has a lot of energy and likes to play a little despite her vision loss in her left eye. She also enjoys curling up in a comfy hut or bed. This sweet little girl lets you know when she is feeling uncomfortable, so be sure to give her space when she asks. However you wont get any space once she decides she loves you. This little lady demands love and attention. So far she can live with dogs, but needs someone who will respect her need for space until she is comfortable. She has no problem letting a dog know she needs some space with just a look. She has done well with cats as well though she has a strong interest in kittens, perhaps because they are smaller than her and not many are! Inquiries: adoptions@plannedpethoodrockymount.com

Prior to adoption, all of our animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for heartworm (dogs), and placed on a monthly preventative, in addition to other necessary treatments.

Adoption Center Hours:
Tuesday - Friday:: 12-6p.m.
â€‹Saturday:: 11-4p.m.

At FCHS, we commit to our animals; for this reason, all of our animals have a lifetime commitment from us. If an adoption does not work out, for any reason, we ask that all FCHS animals be returned to our facility.
