Hey everyone, Henry here. I am a recent addition to rescue and searching for my forever home. I like every other hound here in rescue have a story to tell and mine is just a tad bit more special...see I had those nasty Heart Worms...but no worries, I have undergone Heart Worm treatment and flew through it with flying colors (PLEASE SEE THE LINK BELOW FOR MORE INFO ON HW DISEASE)! It hasn't slowed me down one bit. I absolutely ADORE the other hounds here in my temporary home and would LOVE to go to a home with other dogs for me to be with....I am still an active yet gentle boy at 2-4 years old. Mom takes me to "daycare" and what a hoot of a time I have there, it's almost better than butter on corn! Mom says I have one quirk that no one will ever complain about, I am a real snuggler and love love love my humans. I have been sleeping in bed with Mom and am quite the gentleman about sharing. Oh and those little humans, you know kids, they are A-Okay with me.....I am quite gentle with them and find them just the right size for a great playmate :0) I am working diligently on the house training, mom says I am one "smart boy" and I respond very well to positive reinforcement...so any home I go to will have the be diligent yet kind and patient with me learning the new routine!! I am UTD on vaccinations and altered. I will have to be re-tested for Heart Worms in 6 months. If you are interested in hearing more about how just a big lovebug I am please contact Mom!!

Please remember Every animal for adoption through an Hounds Haven is fully vetted for their age and only needs routine preventive care. Dogs older then 6 months of age are heartworm tested! All dogs are kept on heartworm preventative. Every hound is vaccinated (age appropriate), and de-wormed, in addition to being spayed/neutered.
We are asking for interested parties to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire prior to us lining up an appointment for them to see the hound(s) at the hound(s)' home.
