My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rusty! Such a big mushy boy! Rusty is super sweet, loves attention and despite his size he's VERY active. He was originally adopted from the Franklin Township Animal Shelter with another cat, but was returned when it was apparent Rusty would prefer to be an only pet. He is a bit of a bully to other cats, and would do best in a home where he can be the only King of his castle.

COVID-19 Protocol: Adoptions will be done by appointment only. If you see a pet you are interested in please call the Franklin Township Animal Shelter at: (732)-873-2500 ext. 6255 and leave a message with your name, phone number, and the name of the pet you are interested in.

You must leave a message so that we can return your call to schedule an appointment. Listings are updated on a weekly basis.


Our adoption fee for dogs, cats, kittens, and rabbits is $60 per pet with a discount available for adopting two animals together. Cats, dogs, rabbits and kittens from the Franklin Township Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered. Cats, dogs, and kittens are microchipped, and up-to-date on all age-appropriate shots prior to adoption. Cats have also been tested for feline leukemia and FIV and dogs have been tested for heartworm.
