Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi!
My name is Tippy, glad to see you here on my page!
I'm some sort of Lab mix, but that just makes me more pretty and special don't ya think? :)
I was found with my 5 siblings when were only 10 months old in a single axle horse trailer on July 3. Our owners had not even bothered to clean it out when they put us in there. There was manure and other poop at least 8 inches deep. It was horribly nasty in there. Attached to this trailer was a small, makeshift pen that was filled with poop, water and dare I say, maggots! It was the worst situation any living being could be left in. Some people are just so cruel, I just don't get it!
The great peeps at Lucies raced in early on the morning of July 4. A newspaper article was written about the rescue and we were donned the name "The Freedom Six Pack".
I can't remember how long we suffered being in those awful conditions. As soon as we were rescued and brought to Lucies, we each got to feel grass for the first time in our young lives. It was the most amazing feeling ever! The ladies that brought me teared up at our response to the grass, because it was sad and amazing at the same time.
One of my brothers was missing a toe because of those filthy conditions. For the first 2 weeks we were at Lucies, we all slept standing up in a pyramid style, as we had never known clean and dry conditions.
I'm so glad we are here now and are doing so much better. These volunteers here really know how to love and take care of us.
I can be shy at times, but believe it or not, I am extremely outgoing and I love to play. I especially LOVE being in the water and splashing around! I am K9 friendly and I am also leash and crate trained.
While it's really awesome here, I would truly love to have a family of my own to play and cuddle with. I sure hope that's you! Thanks for visiting my page. Hope to see you soon!
