If you are interested in adopting SUBMIT AN APPLICATION at www.gadr.org
Please be patient as we are all volunteers. We are not a shelter and all dogs are in foster homes. They are available for adoption only. All adoptions require a home visit. Therefore sorry you must live in the Tampa Bay area. Please submit your application completely as incomplete applications will not be processed.
Meet Bonita! Bonita is a very cute fearful 6 1/2 year 9 lb female TINY chihuahua. We rescued Bonita after her previous owners surrendered her to us. Bonita will need someone to allow her to decompress. She is truly a beautiful and very sweet loving little dog once she warms up. She is a typical fearful, protective and possibly nippy little dog. We are looking for the perfect fit and home for her.
Bonita is spayed, up to date on all her shots, heartworm and flea preventatives, heartworm negative, vet examined and is microchipped. Thirty days pet health insurance included with all adoptions. Free dog training tips for life via telephone. Bonita's adoption donation is 400.00.

Bonita will need to be allowed to decompress in her new home. This will take a week or two or longer. She is a very small dog so everything is big to her. The perfect home would be someone that is experienced with little dogs or the chihuahua breed. Being a calm and relaxed would be a plus. Also someone who has the patience to wait till Bonita comes to them. Bonita needs someone to allow her to relax and trust.
Bonita adores her foster mom and follows her everywhere in the house. But that took about 7 days. Bonita seems to be housetrained. She is not a barky dog but will bark to alert you. Bonita is a typical chihuahua so she is very protective and loyal. Once she trusts you she is very loving and loves you.
Bonita's adoption donation is only 400.00 Are you the one for Bonita?
We are currently accepting applications to find the perfect match. We consider ourselves matchmakers, as we try and find forever homes for the dogs we save! Please do not take it personal if you are unable to adopt the dog you like. Many times we get over 30 applications on one dog. Please be patient and understanding as we are all volunteers.
