My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bogart is such a handsome boy, with the beautiful coat of a chocolate lab, and the chunky body of a pit bull terrier. In his case, beauty is more than skin deep -- he's sweet, easy-going and playful, He is a volunteer favorite. Bogart came into the shelter as a lost dog on Oct. 17; he was adopted in early November but the family returned him after he got into an altercation with their cat. He loves people, but apparently not cats, so he needs to go to a no-cat household. Bogart is about 3 years old and weighs 77 pounds. He is up-to-date on vaccinations, now neutered and will be microchipped when adopted. Come meet him in Run 882 using ID# 625578. He tested positive for heartworms, but the shelter veterinarian has started his treatment. He will need follow up at a private vet when adopted.

Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.
