Calling all Beagle lovers: Dixie is a spayed, 4-year old Beagle who is short in stature but big on love. Like any Beagle, Dixie loves to stroll the premises, nose skimming the ground, seeking delectable treasures. But she has also recently discovered the joy of leaping up into the air to catch falling leaves and is perfecting her “Snoopy the Beagle” routine as she maneuvers her ears like wing flaps. Dixie loves people, is good around most other dogs, and seems genuinely fond of, or at least interested in, cats. She’s a bit on the heavy side right now, having spent most of her life confined to a small, outdoor space, so she will need some help in her new home reaching and maintaining a healthy weight. But this girl is so generous with her love and affection—she’s worth every bit of her weight in gold.
