Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome hunk was living with a pack of stray dogs in an industrial neighborhood in Qatar. He was very well know with local workers who keep an eye on the pack and make sure they are fed and healthy. So when he went missing, there was a great deal of panic. Apollo reappeared a couple of weeks later with cuts all over and a hammer embedded in his skull. He was rushed to the vet and then to foster while he recuperated from his injuries. We do not know what happened exactly to Apollo but it is clear that he is no longer safe as a street dog.
Apollo takes time to warm up to strange men, but is otherwise friendly to people and dogs. He is scared of cats. In Qatar, he lived in an apartment without any issues. His fosters describe him as the most loving and good-natured dog you’ll ever meet. He doesn’t jump on people or destroy things in the house. He loves belly rubs, a good brushing, and a good car ride. He takes time to warm up to strange men, but is otherwise friendly to people and dogs.
