Hello my name is "Charlie”
Meet our sweet rescue pup Charlie. This precious fella came to us after some good samaritans rescued him from almost being hit on the side of the road after coming back from their vacation. Charlie was so beat up and emaciated he was not going to make it another night on the road. He had open wounds and punctures, covered in fleas and ticks and injuries, he at only 35 lbs. he barely had enough strength to stand.
This sweet boy is on the road to recovery though, he’s learning what love is like for the first time in his life and he is appreciating every minute of it. He is super sweet and gentle. Loves to crawl up into your lap or lean up against you and be the true guardian spirit he is. He’s still getting treatment, and is Heart worm positive. We are working on getting his strength up to get him neutered and finish his vaccinations.
Meanwhile, we are smothering him with love. He likes his babies and loves treats! He’s food food possessive when another dog comes by, so that will mean his new owners will need to ensure they feed him away from other pups during breakfast and dinner and treat times. No open feeding stations.
Ultimately, Charlie is a gentle soul, with many scars that tell his story of strife. But he has so much love and joy in his heart and is awaiting someone who will see past those scars and love him for the puppy he is inside.
We are taking applications for Charlie while he is in treatment as we are committed to getting him to full health and strength. So…
If you are interested in Charlie, please make a note in your adoption application when you fill it out…
