My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Melo! He is about 3 years old and 63 pounds, and he came to the shelter as an owner turn in through no fault of his own. His people had a whole host of reasons - a new baby who "may be" allergic and possible allergies in Melo himself - but really none of them compare to the good stuff they reported.
They said he is house trained and good with kids. His family said he is also good with other dogs and cats! Sounds pretty good to me! He is also very good on the leash, sits when told, and is a loving and gentle fellow. Melo has been neutered. He will be microchipped and heartworm tested upon adoption. He is waiting in run 828. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.
