Peekaboo came into the city shelter as a stray with two kittens. The kittens were quickly adopted, but of course, she remained. She waited over a month for a home but one never came. She began to get really upset, so we pulled her for rescue.
Once at the vet, Peekaboo got vetted, including spayed. Unfortunately, it was found that she was pregnant with 6 young kittens when spayed :( which meant she was about to em a mother, again - back to back litters 😭
Absolutely horrible. 💔
We got Peekaboo to the FURcility on September 21st and began her pampering while she decompressed and recovered.
Peekaboo was very stressed in her suite after spending a month in a shelter kennel, so she now resides in our big Colony Room, which is awesome, hut no substitute for a home and really family - which is what she truly wants more than anything in the world.
So here we are, ready to help her find it.

😉 Peekaboo is nothing short of amazing. Her favorite thing in the whole world? BEING WITH PEOPLE! She cannot get enough laps, pets and snuggles. It's literally all she wants right now, which sucks because we have to break up time between others :( and she gets so sad when we have to leave. She's the most grateful kitty ever.
😉 We've dubbed Peekaboo, Miss Co-dependent. She gets her joy from being with others so someone who is home a lot would be awesome for her. She just wants to feel secure, safe and loved. She really doesn't ask for much else.
😉 Peekaboo will play occasionally but hasn't shown much interest in anything. Maybe a ball chase or two but that's it. She does however love Catnip and goes bananas over it! We'd expect her personality to continue to blossom in a home as she adjusts.
😉 As you can see, Peekaboo only has one eye. Our vet thinks the other was removed by a vet at another time (but she wasn't spayed :( ). She has no issue living life with one eye and does everything any other cat does. However, she does startle a bit if you have fast movements and will react with a little nip on the hand if she gets scared. We've also noticed that throwing a toy or having something above her head makes her cower like she's been hit before. We've learned that soft, slow pets and being gentle in nature is key.
🤸♀️ Peekaboo would be best with older kids since she tends to startle easy because of the missing eye.
🐈 Peekaboo is OK with other cats but doesn't need one to be happy.
🐕 Peekaboo is OK with dogs but the dog should be cat friendly because she asserts herself at first.
▪️ PB is litter trained and uses a large covered box made by Nature's Miracle and clumping non scented, dust free litter.
