Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Marty! I am a six years old brindle male Chihuahua/Pug mix weighing about 10 lbs. I am looking for an experienced and patient forever home willing to give me a chance to show how good of a boy I can be.
Going from my previous home to foster care has been confusing for me, so it takes me a few days to warm up and feel secure in a home. I tend to warm up to women quicker than men. Once I do start to trust my humans, I am a very sweet mellow boy who loves attention and will follow you around the home. My future adopter will need to be patient with me and let me adjust at my own pace. Treats and positive reinforcement will help a lot to gain my trust.
I’m looking for a one person or two person household with a calm environment (no kids) that understands how confusing it can be to go to a new home. As I can be vocal, I would do better in a house than in an apartment.
While I prefer my humans, I am comfortable with similar sized calm and mellow dogs. I cannot be in a home with larger dogs or any energetic dogs.
I tend to sleep and relax most of the day but enjoy walking and am really good at playing fetch. I walk well on a leash but do get excited when I see larger dogs on walks.
I sleep well in my crate at night. I am doing great at my potty training and will need my future home to continue keeping me on a potty routine.
I am healthy, neutered and up to date on my vaccines.
If you are looking for a loving companion and you think Marty would be a great addition to your family, please complete an application found at http://rescueachi.com/adoption-application/ and his foster family will be in contact with you if you are a great match.
