My story

**Courtesy Post** Harlan is a precious little Jack Russell Terrier mix that found himself on the streets in Galveston County (Texas). Fortunately, he was picked up by the folks at Galveston County Animal Resource Center who asked if we could help the little guy and we rushed to get him. He is estimated to be about 8-10 years old and weighs right around 16 pounds. He is super sweet and has the cutest little prance. And boy does he love pupperonis!!! He gets along great with other dogs and even cats. Because of his diminished sight he is probably not best for a home with fast moving little kiddos. It seems like our little guy might be going blind and while he's learning to use his other senses, he startles easily but speaking to him helps tremendously. He may snap in scary situations, for example, at the vet or getting his nails done, but it is not out of meanness, just uncertainty. He still seems to get around but sudden movements catch him off guard. He is still so happy and very sweet. He loves to sit in your lap and know he is safe!
