Please note, we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they have been adopted. All of our dogs are currently residing in foster homes in TX so much is known about their temperament and personality.
Hello world! My name is Charlie. I am not sure why I got slapped with that moniker, I am a lady after all, not a fellow! Humans can be so strange. You want to know something else that makes me think that humans are odd? Foster mom calls me a love bug! I am not a bug at all, I am a dog! Oh, well. I guess foster mom can call me whatever she wants, as long as she doesnt call me late to dinner! Ahahaha I crack myself up.
I am a lithe 11mo old female great pyr x lab that didnt have the greatest start to life. I was left outside to tend to my owners livestock, but since I am a mix, I didnt really have much interest in hanging out with the smelly old sheep. I would much rather be with a hooman!
I can be very shy when meeting new people, I defintely do not wear my heart on my sleeve. Once I warm up to someone, that is it, I am their BFF for life. I would even be willing to exchange matching friendship bracelots. When I love someone, I love them with everything I have got, and since I am a taller girl, that is a LOT of love.
I get along well with other dogs, I think they are pretty swell! I also like kids pretty well, as long as they are respectful of my toys and space. I do like to chase a strange creature called a cat, but can you blame me?
I am working on my obedience and leash training. I would do best in a home with someone that understands large breeds. Like all dogs, I need boundaries and consistency. Typical of most great pyrs, I can be a little bit stubborn. My charming good looks make up for it though!
