Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet this gorgeous girl named Desiree! She was adopted months ago and due to owner having to move she finds herself back at the shelter (mid May 2021) with high hopes her real FOREVER person or family is out there ready to scoop her up. She initially came into the shelter October 1, 2020 when her owner home was sold to someone and the new owner would not allow her breed. Such a sad time for her as well as her owner. Desiree is 1 year 11 months old, current on shots, spayed, house broken, amazing with children, and full of love and life to share. Her owner said she’s smart & knows a few commands like sit and down as well as hugs. She will jump up to hug you when you say “hug”. She loves chew bones and digging. Desiree was around children and loves them dearly. She also loves playing fetch with a tennis ball. She’s played with a few pups and plays hard but enjoys their company. She does need a home without cats. She is not a fan. Just a happy girl who is beautiful inside and out and missing her family & home life setting. Maybe you can give her back the home she deserves and a family who will give her the love, joy and care she got with her original owner. Stop by for a visit with her today!
If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance.
The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5 and Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home.
