Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tater is around 10-12 years old and a mixed breed, possibly Chihuahua and Jack Russel or Fiest. Yayer is a small dog weighed in at 18 pounds. Tater was adopted from Fulton County Animal Control as a young dog, but when he was found roaming in the same area 10 years later no one claimed him.
Tater’s foster describes him as: “Super sweet and really just wants to be by your side. In the house, he’s super mellow and if we’re sitting in the couch he likes to jump up and sit next to us or in our lap and lay down. He also LOVES to go outside on walks and explore whenever he can. When he sees other dogs he gets very excited and will bark a lot, but he just wants to play and he’s not aggressive at all.”
Tater was initially returned to us because he was adopted as an ESA, but because he barked at other dogs when on leash the adopter concluded he was not right for her and did not believe it would be fixed in her care because she wanted him to fly on planes with her. Therefore, we would love to see Tater go to a home that understands he may have little quirks, but he’s in no way a bad dog. He is crate trained and potty trained. He is great around other dog and holds his own in the big dog park!
To apply to adopt Tater please fill out this application link:
Tater’s adoption fee is $125 which includes his UTD vaccines, deworming, microchip snd neuter.
After you apply please allow our adoption coordinator 24-72 hours to respond. When you are contacted, you will be told if your application is approved or not. If it is we will proceed with a meet and greet. After everyone has had a chance to do a meet and greet we will then proceed with the adoption to the selected family. If you comment “interested” that does not count as an application. The form must be filled out for you to be considered. We are located in Auburn, AL.
