Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Allie is a female white Shih Tzu with tan and gray markings. She is 7 years old and she weighs 8.8 pounds. Allie is spayed and vaccinated including rabies. She tested heartworm negative and is receiving monthly heartworm prevention. She is also on Bravecto for fleas. She is ready for adoption.
Allie is a great little companion, super cutie with her little snaggle tooth in front. She would love a home where she could be some person’s buddy 24/7. Allie came to rescue with a terrible flea allergy and some false information told to us about her age and situation. When we get a dog vetted their body tells us a lot. Her spay told us that she had been many times a mom, used up. Allies’s teeth told us she was a middle aged gal and had probably used her teeth to try to get out of a crate many times. Her hunger from tapeworms had her squabbling with other dogs over food, and she defends herself with other dogs from imaginary threats. Allie wants to be in the room with her human but cowers from their reach If they are standing. On the other hand Allie is a loving and affectionate dog with people. She simply must be in the same room with her human and is fine with men, women and children. Allie doesn’t need to be in their lap or their face. She is content to curl up on the sofa or sleep at the foot of the big bed. Allie loves the occasional french fry or bite of your sandwich but she is polite about it. Allie will potty outside but she needs lots of extra trips out, like many a dog whose body is worn by birthing babies. Allie will tee-tee on the floor if she needs to but poo hasn’t been a problem. She has done well when she has frequent little trips outside. Allie walks pretty good on a leash and enjoys car rides. She is totally stressed by a crate and cries like a yard full of chickens when crated. Allie is seeking a home with hard surface floors, no other dogs, and someone home a lot.
