Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jilly came from a horrific hoarding case in conditions that weren’t livable. Every cat that came from this house was traumatized and didn’t know how to be a cat. When she came to us she had just lost a litter of kittens and was a skinny, terrified mess. She thought everything and everyone was trying to hurt her and it took her months to learn that people- and other cats, could be good.
Now Jilly has COMPLETELY blossomed. She gets very bonded to “her” human once she gets to know you (strangers are still scary). She will happily greet you when you come home, ask for pets, and roll over because she’s so excited to be getting your attention. She LOVES to talk all the time, play with toys, sunbathe, and lounge in her favorite beds. She absolutely loves life and is very comfortable in a safe environment- she even lately has been wanting to explore from her room and has developed curiosity with a lot of things! She will even sometimes jump up by you while you’re eating to see what you are doing and if she can snag a bite of your food. She is a HUGE sucker for treats too- she will run and wait patiently by you to get some when she hears the bag. She is good with a few other cats that respect her space or that are very friendly/non-threatening. She has a kitty friend that she loves to chase around the room doing zoomies and playing at night! Every day she gets a little more confident and seeks out attention more and more.
Jilly needs a patient, loving, quieter home with one or only a few other cats. She will take some time to warm up, but once she does, her love is SO rewarding. If you’re looking for a cat who has been through literal hell with lots of love to give, Jilly is your girl.
