My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Skip! I was found wandering around a farm a nice lady there contacted ABR and now I’m in a foster home. I’m about 11 years old, but I sure don’t feel it. I’m a happy, loving, easygoing boy who just likes to follow my foster family around while smiling and wagging my tail. I’m a great friend to my foster brother and sister and I love meeting new people, including kids. I’m well-behaved during the day when my foster family is gone and I don’t get into any trouble or have any accidents. I do like food, so if you leave your dinner unattended I’m not responsible if it disappears.

The vet says that I have cataracts, but that if I start to have trouble seeing they could be removed. I also don’t hear very well, but that doesn’t interfere with me enjoying life, following directions, or knowing when you open the refrigerator. I didn’t know any commands when I first came to my foster home, but I’m working on learning some. My foster parents use hand signals to tell me what to do, and I stop doing something I’m not supposed to as soon as I understand what they want. I like my daily walks but I’m just as happy frolicking around the yard.

I’m up to date on all my shots, neutered, and Lyme and heartworm negative. I’d be a great companion for someone looking for a new best friend to keep them company. I’m very excited to find my forever home soon to enjoy my senior years!
