Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET MARGO! - AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION
Margo is an itty bitty 5 lbs chihuahua. She is technically a hospice pet but is available for adoption, she has beginning dementia which causes her to walk in circles. We call her our little ballerina!
She loves her food despite having no teeth, she has an amazing appetite.
She is not really a fan of being carried around or snuggling, she's way too independent for that. She does have some limited vision due to cataracts but managed to get around really well. She loves to move, will wander around your home or backyard endlessly, this girl is committed to getting her 10,000 steps per day!
Margo is looking for her perfect retirement home, lots of fluff for bed arranging, yummy soft food, and plenty of time to roam in the sun. Margo is working on being housetrained so will need to go to an adopter ready to help her continue figuring out where the correct place to go potty is. It appears she may have been trained with potty pads before coming to us.
Margo joined our rescue end of August 2020 and had a dental cleaning during which the remainder of her teeth were removed. She can still eat, though sometimes her tongue does hang out, which only adds to her charm.
Margo is happy to coexist with other dogs but does not wish to "play", she likes her space. She has not been tested with cats. She would do well in a home with older dog savvy children, she is a little gal so may not do well younger children who may not respect her space or be startling.
Characteristics: tiny, independant,
Background: Pulled from Dallas Animal Services and joined our rescue August 22, 2020 via Dog is My Co-Pilot.
