My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy... Good day... We are looking for a foster to adopt family! I currently reside with my mom and several other canines here.
I'm the chestnut and white fellow.
We are active, affectionate and very loyal. We are house trained and do well on a leash. We also lived with a big blue Doberman for a time.
We are a bit shy around other dogs initially but do well with proper introductions.
We enjoy playing and spending time with Jesse the white lab and a chihuahua named Mr. Bean.

More about this rescue

High Desert Doberman Rescue is dedicated to rescuing homeless, displaced, abandoned and shelter dogs throughout New Mexico and Southwest geographic region of the United States.
Working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue animals and provide them with loving temporary care while awaiting adoption.
We serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and optimal nutrition.
Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in need to the extent our finances allow.
We are determined to keep administrative expenses as low as possible so virtually every dollar taken in goes directly to the care of the animals. Our group also remains interested in and committed to the welfare of the dog beyond the adoption process.
