Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Biscuit has been stuck in the shelter for over 1 year. That is a very long time to spend in a wire and concrete cage! Sadly, nobody has even looked at her or offered to give her a loving home in that very long period of time. Unfortunately, very few people are willing to open up their heart and home to older dogs. The shelter has estimated her age at 7 years.
She is currently being temporarily fostered but is in danger of having to be returned to the shelter if she does not find a permanent home soon.
Biscuit is a very happy and affectionate dog. She is polite in the house and enjoys spending time sleeping on her couch. She walks well on a leash and does not pull. She knows her ‘sit’ command (but, like many dogs, can suffer from selective listening…) and we are working on her ‘stay’ and ‘come’ commands.
She meets strangers with ease and a wagging tail. We are not sure how she is with children but will probably do well with older children. She has met a few other dogs and has done well but we are not sure how she would be if living with another dog so our preference at this time is to place her as the only dog.
She is not suitable for a home with cats.
As the video shows, she really enjoys rolling around on the grass. So far, we have not been able to capture any good pictures of her but we are working on that to show her fun personality. She really is a very happy dog!
Please contact DrPierson2@catinfo.org if you have any questions about Biscuit or are interested in meeting her. More videos are available showing how she walks on a leash, etc.
