Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Became spiritual at a Tiesto concert. Looking for her friend Molly. Keep calm and Do Yoga. Shotgunned a Lime-A-Rita with her brother's roommate. OMG Ryan! Always has gum in her mouth.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intake Date: 20 Sep 2020 -----
Age at Intake: 1 yr -----
Breed: Lab mix, smaller -----
Size: 35 lbs -----
Status: Owner Surrender -----
Compatible with: dogs, cats, and courteous children. -----
Suitable for: home with a securely fenced yard. -----
Medical/Behavioral Needs: Shy. Littermate syndrome, so not adoptable together. -----
Additional Notes: Baby Bue (Boo) was adopted from a local shelter with her sister. Unfortunately, the lack of separation created a very strong case of littermate syndrome which has stunted her emotional and behavioral development while also preventing a bond or connection to a human. Puppies should NEVER be placed in the same home together. BB is now working independently of her sister and we have already seen progress in her confidence, slow but steady. She will need an owner who continues her on this path of development and exposure to new things while building her confidence. She may never FULLY recover from her set back early in life, but we do expect to see some pretty major improvements. She is not aggressive in the least, just extremely unsure of herself and lacking confidence. She has not been able to develop her own personality. Please research littermate syndrome and it's effects for more information.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is mandatory.
