Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Thirsty but just drank water. Doesn't miss her boyfriend enough to stay loyal. Is weirdly comfortable around your dad. Just snapped you something but it's too dark. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intake Date: 12 Sep 2020 ----- DOB: 17 Mar 2018 ----- Breed: Australian Shepherd ----- Size: 40 lbs ----- Status: owner surrender ----- Compatible with: children. No Cats. Dog testing.----- Suitable for: home with a securely fenced yard. ----- Medical/Behavioral needs: evaluating with dogs ----- Additional Notes: Gracelyn came to rescue bc she hasn't been getting along with the other female dog in the home. We have started working with her here and so far so good but more to come as she settles in. She is an Australian Shepherd and they are a very active, intelligent, driven dog. This is not an apartment dog or a companion dog only. She will require an active and engaged home. Frisbee, agility, running, or hiking etc. Please do not consider her if wanting an apartment dog or a strictly companion dog for an inactive lifestyle. I do think any issues she has or had stem from a need to have boundaries and be worked. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is mandatory.
