Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The Penelope we know and love today is a far cry from the emaciated and miserable little thing that was brought to our door three years ago, along with all of the traumatic baggage she could carry on her exhausted shoulders - You would hardly recognize Penelope with her plump little tummy and cheerful attitude compared to how she was before!
Penelope is tiny, and you know what they say about good things coming in small packages, right? Well, Penelope is the very definition of a ‘good thing’ as far as we’re concerned... Penelope is playful and extremely personable once you gain her friendship, she gets along amazingly well with other kitties, and you can even pick her up for short periods of time if you’re on good terms. After everything she went through before becoming a member of Furry Friends, this pocket sized survivor continues to surprise us every day as she comes more and more out of her shell!
There’s no denying that Penelope remains shy when meeting new people, she definitely prefers to sit at a safe distance and carefully watch what you’re doing as you interact with the other kitties around her until she can suss out if you’re here to cause trouble or not. Once Penelope comes to the conclusion that you’re only here to be her new best friend, you can pet her soft head and pat her even softer backside, and if you’re lucky she will show you her special chair that she likes to sit in...
Yes, you read that right, Penelope has a special chair! In the large walk-in pen where she lives with her friends, there is a red wooden chair that Penelope has claimed as her own. You can often find her perched on top of it like a little queen, or rolling around on the seat in an attempt to get you to pay attention to her and rub her ears! Penelope is notorious for getting very flustered and pacing around your feet if you sit in her chair for too long, and she will even go so far as to sit on top of our volunteer’s while they are in her spot. If you won’t move, Penelope will just pretend you’re not there and get comfy anyways!
Penelope is a good eater who enjoys both her wet and dry food, and she loves to play when she thinks that you’re not looking. Penelope has started to become more confident and will sometimes play with an offered feather stick or other wiggly toy if she really trusts you.
All that Penelope needs is a forever family who is going to be patient and kind with her as she adjusts to the house-kitty life. She would do great with other kitties to keep her company, and you will be rewarded for your patience by gaining the best friend you could ask for!
