My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE COMPLETE OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION AT WWW.LOVEBUGSRESCUE.ORG IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ADOTPION:

Coco is a 10 yr old, 17 lb Spaniel/Terrier mix that was surrendered to the Downey shelter by his former owner. We saw him being networked for several weeks, and finally decided to inquire not thinking he's still be available. Well he was and he became a Lovebug shortly after!

Coco came to us with a few medical issues which have all been resolved. He had a warty mass on one of his upper eyelids that has been removed, and he got a much needed dental at the same time. Coco also had an ACL tear in one of his back legs. He went to one of the best surgeons here in Orange County, and has recovered nicely from surgery. He has normal use of his leg. We also had him on a strict diet and he's since lost a few fold around his belly and is finally at a healthy weight.

Now that all the hard stuff is behind him, let's talk about Coco's personality! This boy is full of tail wags and loves belly rubs. His favorite pastime is to sunbath in the warm sun. Coco is very food motivated, but takes treats rather gently. He's pretty easy going around the house, and does a good job of going potty outside.

Coco won't require too much, but he does still enjoys going for walks and outings with his foster family. He rides well in the car too! Coco will do best in an adult home as a one and only. He's currently in a foster home with another dog who he gets along with, but we've noticed Coco has some resource guarding with certain high reward items. So we think he'd do better with no other pets or kids in the home.

If you're interested in meeting Coco, please complete our adoption application at www.lovebugsrescue.org His adoption fee is $300 and includes his neuter, dental, microchip, vaccines current, flea treatment and deworming.
