Lola has been in rescue for 385-days. Now, that doesn't mean she is at a shelter, but it does mean she has become VERY comfortable in her environment. She comes to her humans to get pets and to give licks. She loves the attention of ear scratches, she enjoys going for a walk with her human or just running in the backyard and if its a nice day, she likes to sunbathe on the patio. Lola has come a LONG LONG way, since she arrived at rescue.
The post below is from 6-months ago, to help you see just how far she has come :)
Lola is a Belgian Malinois, she is 5 years old and we call her our "street dog". Her life before rescue wasn't the greatest, she was dumped when she got pregnant the first time and was finally trapped when she was found pregnant again with 2 of her one year old babies roaming the streets of Oklahoma. Lola is a VERY sweet, gentle girl. She does take a bit to warm up, as you can imagine the human hasn't always been her friend. She does enjoy running and playing with the other dogs in the house, her approach to humans is slow, but once she knows she can trust you, she will come to you for pets and ear scratches. Lola will take a special person that doesn't mind taking a week or two to allow her to adjust to her new home. She is crate and potty trained.
Lola's adoption fee is $200.00 which includes DLPP, Bordetella, Rabies, Spay, Microchip and her next dose of heartworm preventative. If you are interested, please complete the Adoption Application on our website at a4apetpantry.org
