Chaplin is a handsome, black and white kitten of many disguises. Sometimes he's a cow kitten, happy to lounge and have snacks. Other times, he borrows Bruce Wayne's mask, and plays Batman! Despite his partial loss of vision in one eye, he's not afraid of exploring both high and low, and enjoys playing with the friendly big cats as well as those closer to his age. He might initially miss when he reaches for something with his left paw, but he is usually successful with a follow-up right swipe!
Cats are amazing at adapting to differences in their bodies, and adorable, 4 month old Chaplin, is no different. We're sure you'll be impressed with how well he is adapting to his sight challenges, and making the most out of life. While he does have a bit of depth perception and peripheral vision loss for objects to his left, he's rather adept with judging distance for objects at the midline and to his right. He loves to climb the cat tree and jump off, onto the bed or couch, and will often spread his four legs out like a flying squirrel, and leap! It's so adorable!
Chaplain is a playful kitten who adores games of chase with his bonded companion, Bubbles, but will also spend time practicing his paw skills with a toy mouse or kick toy. We really can't wait for the right home to find him, he's come through a lot, and is such a prize 🖤🤍
Chaplin will do well in a home with friendly cats, and gentle children who are old enough to be respectful of his body, and allow him liberty when he needs it. He loves attention, but might not want to be relegated to one lap, unless he's picked it. His partner, Bubbles, is a little bit of a slower speed, but again, gentle handling and care is a must to keep sweet Bubbles, sweet. You may visit them both at The Windy Kitty Cafe.
All kittens must be adopted with another kitten or into a home with another young cat with which he or she can play and socialize. The majority of no-kill rescues nationwide adhere to this policy. This policy is NOT based on a desire to increase our number of adoptions, rather it ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development.
