My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cara - 3 y/o spay female black lab mix - solid black - weighs 65 lbs. - very tall - big girl - Cara is also good with other dogs and children - will let you pull and tug on her with no issue - she is very people-loving and would rather be in the office with us than running around the play yard.  Cara comes when called and will return to her kennel upon command.  She too was in our prison program for approximately a year and came back to the shelter with hopes of being seen by the perfect family.  She has been in the shelter system since 5/21/12.  This sweet gal was extremely shy when she came to the shelter as a 6 month old pup but she has blossomed and will make some family a wonderful pet.
