My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

8/12/14 Ginger is doing great with crate training! Check out how easily she goes into her crate:http://youtu.be/C-0nCoyoaRU

8/1/14 She is only on day 5 of crate training & she will already go in on her own! She has not had any accidents while crated & is quiet as a mouse while in there.

7/29/14 Ginger has started crate training & is doing wonderful. She has made another best friend in her foster sister, Vivian (also adoptable) who is only 31 pounds. They love to chase each other around the yard & often sleep curled up to each other.

Update: She is pretty laid back most of the time & when inside, she just wants to lay on the couch or curl up with me in the recliner. She does run a lot when outside playing with Meeko, but I would not classify her as hyper. She doesn't jump up on people & does great with the neighborhood kids. She does get very excited at dinner time.

This is Ginger. We can sum her up in one word--- SWEETHEART! As you can see, Ginger has the most adorable face. She is friendly to every dog and human she meets. On walks in the neighborhood, she has been petted by many children and does phenomenal with them all; never jumping, just wagging her tail and soaking up the attention! Ginger does marvelous on a leash and is always curious of other dogs on walks---never barks even when she is barked at! In our home, she has three other foster sibling and gets along famously with them. Romping in the yard with the other pooches is one of her favorite activities. She loves to play fetch & will bring the ball back & drop it at your feet. This affectionate brindle mix is great with all humans great and small. She loves to cuddle and just wants to snuggle with people all the of the time, but will not pout if she is not allowed on your lap. Ginger loves toys and will sit calmly and patiently for treats. Once she has her treat, she wags her tail so hard her whole behind moves with her! She would be a magnificent member of any family. She is house-trained & fully vetted.

4/15: Ginger's foster family had visitors that included 4 kids & she did wonderful with them. She couldn't decide which one she wanted to sit with so she took turns sitting with all of them.

4/7: Ginger is a great girl who loves other dogs & ignores cats. She is housebroken & spends most of her time relaxing on the couch, but will play a little bit when outside. She is excellent on leash. She knows to sit before getting treats & before getting food & also responds well to direction.

4/6: Ginger is in foster care and doing well.  She is sponsored for rescue.

3/29 update: Ginger's fundraiser has filled.  Thank you sponsors!  She's scheduled to go to the vet this coming week.

Ginger is still in the shelter.  We have a foster home lined up for her, but we need money to pull & vet her.  SPONSORS NEEDED!

Ginger was brought to the Shelter by her owner on 3-5 along with one of her puppies.  She had 5 others who found homes before coming to the Shelter.  Ginger is very sweet and friendly.  She also walks well on a leash.  She is a beautiful brindle color.  Ginger looks like she could have mastitis?

Shelter Arrival Date: 3/5/2014
