Devoted. Well-behaved. Sweet. And just look at that face! Meet Ruby! If you're looking for a companion who's all those things, plus funny, loving, affectionate (and gorgeous doesn't hurt!) Ruby might just be your girl. Ruby is a gorgeous and social girl who is bound to be the official "greeter" in any household. She's friendly and affectionate with people and loves to mingle with dogs of all sizes. And that's why it's so impossible to imagine that someone left her in the condition she was when we found her: way out in backcountry Arkansas on a deserted road with a fractured pelvis and covered in buckshot. She's healed and this happy girl isn't holding it against anyone: all she knows is, the future is bright!
Ruby is your typical Bloodhound, complete with her share of independence, songs and slobbering, and she will no doubt follow her nose despite herself! Please be careful when you're petting her, because Ruby flops down and melts at your feet so you can rub her belly - - her most favorite thing in the world! She loves kids and people of all ages, she is a glutton for hugs and kisses and you'll love watching how her ears flap in the wind when she runs!
Ruby is about a year and a half old, she weighs about 70 pounds and she's a very healthy girl. It's clear she's had several litters in her life, but those days are over and she's ready to have someone make it all about her from now on!
