My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

She is a quick learner, very athletic, very sweet, goofy, spazzy, loving, and playful.

Her training has come along beautifully, with the exception of her being highly energetic and wiggly, so some of her obedience commands are a bit sloppy at times.

Trained In:
Sit, Place, Come, Settle, Drop It, Leave it, Free, Go Potty, Kennel, Focus, Down, Stay, Sit Pretty, Heel, Under, Off Leash Heel, Off Leash Obedience, Ecollar Conditioning, Prong collar conditioning

She is a very loyal and loving dog, she has the potential to develop separation anxiety, and will not do well with an inexperienced or weak-minded handler. She needs strong leadership. She is definitely a "velcro" dog.

She can be very pawsy, and is currently working on not jumping on people, as well as keeping the licking to a minimum.

Does great with other dogs, but has tried to herd/nip at the cats in her foster home so we are thinking she will do best in a home without cats.

She does play rough, so other dogs in adoptive home must be okay with rough play. She can be slow to warm up with some dogs, so we have and will continue to/advise to do all of her new dog interactions with the muzzle. Each time she has met a new dog she has been able to be trusted within 5-10 minutes without the muzzle. Once she realizes the new dog is not a threat, she plays beautifully, but she can be a bit defensive/nippy if the interaction is not done properly.

Adoption priority will be given to experienced Malinois owners as well as owners who are interested in doing agility, dock diving, rally obedience, nose work, barn hunt, bite work, etc.

Wednesday really needs an active home with an owner who will give her tons of enrichment! She has A LOT of potential temperament wise and drive wise, so we are really trying to push finding a sporting home or working home for her.

WE DESPERATELY want to adopt her into an agility sport home.

******
Wednesday needs to be on a very specific diet. Without it she does not get the nutrients she needs and eats her poop, which has caused some dental concerns.

She CAN NOT be fed Kibble under any circumstances. Kibble caused her to eat her poop, smell putrid, get extremely greasy, and gave her allergies.

She is on a 1/2 raw diet, 1/2 air dried diet. It will continue to cost about $150 per month for the rest of her life. This is the only diet that she can be on due to her medical concerns.

We have an appointment for her dental cleaning 1/6 and will know more about her teeth at that time... her dental is covered for life with her current pet insurance plan, which we will require her adopters to continue with. It is $50 monthly. She has no pre-existing conditions on her pet insurance plan (nationwide whole pet with wellness), so all of her medical expenses are covered at 90% with a yearly $250 deductible as long as her adopters continue with the monthly pet insurance payments.

We are hoping to get Wednesday adopted out by Christmas. If you have previously inquired and have not filled out an application and would like to be considered amongst the applicants we already have please send an email to woofgangrehab@yahoo.com
