My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Bailey, a chilled out dude with a bright gaze and friendly personality! Not much gets under Bailey’s skin, most of the time he spends his days lounging in his big bed or softly chirping at our volunteers as they pass him by, but he’d love to be your newest couch potato.

Overall Bailey is as cool as a fair number of cucumbers, he’s happy to wait for you to come to him and he will patiently sit with his paws crossed as the food cart goes around our shelter delivering breakfast and dinner. Bailey’s in no rush, he knows that good things come to those who wait!

Speaking of breakfast and dinner, Bailey eats as good as any growing boy and he greatly appreciates a second helping of delicious wet foot once he polishes off his first bowl! He’s such a foodie in fact that oftentimes when you start petting Bailey, he will get up and turn right around to his food dish to indulge in a few mouthfuls of crunchies while you massage his shoulders... What a hard life, having food on demand and a personal human masseuse to work out all of your knots while you eat!

Bailey very much enjoys having his chick cheeks and head massaged, and he will happily press his face into your hands to encourage you to keep petting him. You can pet right down his back to his tail, but sometimes if he’s in a playful mood he will flip over and start to wrestle with your hand! Bailey never does this in a mean way though, he just likes to goof around once in a while.

When it comes to play time, Bailey likes to have a variety of toys to choose from - Is today the day to toss a catnip mouse around, or is it time to kick a crunchy toy or bat around a jingly bell ball? Bailey’s not sure yet, but he’ll figure it out once he tries every toy at least once!
