Walking with MEMPHIS! Walking with his leash and treats in hand. Walking with MEMPHIS, don’t you really love the way you feel! MEMPHIS is waiting for his perfect home! This handsome boy is cat, dog and kid friendly. He is extremely smart, affectionate and possesses all the traits of a wonderful shepherd. MEMPHIS loves to romp and play with his canine friends. He also enjoys a good game of fetch. This gorgeous boy loves adventure and would make the perfect walking, hiking or camping buddy! MEMPHIS enjoys going on car rides and loves looking out of windows. He is house trained, crate trained and has wonderful indoor manners. This handsome fellow will keep a smile on the faces of his lucky forever family and help them make happy memories for years to come.
He would benefit from going to a home that has experience with his breed or breeds similar to his and that also have other dogs. He will make an incredible addition for anyone.

MEMPHIS is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.
His $490 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the New England area after he is officially adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
