Here's what the humans have to say about me:
WENDIE is a beautiful calico kitty about five years old. She has random black and orange patches on a sparkling white background and green eyes and a sweet inquisitive little face.
Wendie has a feisty streak and seems to have gotten a double dose of that “calico cattitude”. She has been adopted a couple times and has come back to us. She just can’t seem to behave herself. She is sweet one minute then has the claws out the next. She likes to be patted, just a little, then nips when the time is up. She would be best as a single cat in a home without children or other animals. Lately she seems to be getting along better with the other cats in the room, so maybe a feline friend in her new home might work out.
Wendie is a very smart kitty. In her short time back (again), she has learned where she lives, and will “go home” when told. It’s fun to watch her figure things out. One can almost see those wheels turning in that little feline brain of hers. Perhaps she just needs more intellectual stimulation.
She needs an adult home (no small children) with patient folks who won’t mind getting scratched occasionally. She likes high places so a tall cat climber would be nice for her, and lots of toys, puzzles and human interaction.
Wendie responds well to offers of treats and friendly persuasion. She does not like being told what to do, or any application of strong-arm techniques. Whatever she does has to be her idea, of course. If you are looking for a more challenging companion than the standard lap cat, then come on over and meet Wendie.
