Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We rescued Rover from the local shelter....his short-stack stature and wiggly body as he happily wagged his tail caught our attention!
We believe ROVER is a mix of pit bull and Bassett hound, but without DNA testing we can’t be sure if his breed. He is about 2.5 yrs old and weighs approx 85 lbs. He is a ‘low rider’ ... a massive body on short stout legs!
Rover is a fun loving, happy and playful pup! He has a very sweet disposition and wants to please you.
He loves to run and play fetch as well as cuddle in your lap. He is a great hugger too!
Rover is crate trained and housetrained. He still has a lot of 'puppyness' to him though, so you will need to stay on top of his antics!
He likes to play with his kong toys and will keep busy chewing on Benebones. His foster Mom is working on his leash skills, and he is getting better but will need ongoing leash work.. He is a very strong boy!
Rover would do best with an interactive family that will include him in activities and have him be a real part of the family. He is a large, solid dog that is a bit clumsy, and can be a 'bull in the china closet' so he could knock over young children and/or toddlers accidentally...for this reason he is only available to homes with no young children. (under 12 yrs of age)
He loves to play with doggie friends but should be in a home with no other dogs or cats. He has a very rough play style so small dogs can easily get hurt and big dogs need to be submissive, passive and able to handle rough play due to his size and strength.
Rover is a big squishy love bug that will be a great family dog for an experienced bully breed owner.
He has puppy playful energy but not too much...and his clumsy antics will keep you smiling! He has a big heart and lots of love to give.
