Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***NO CATS
***NO DOGS
***NO CHILDREN UNDER 13yrs
***Needs a single woman
*** Great dog for hiking, running
**HOME OWNERSHIP REQUIRED
SARA came to us after her Mom passed away. She had been living alone in the family home while her Mom was in the hospital and a caregiver was coming in to care for Sara. Her Mom came home from the hospital then passed away the next day. SARA was a bit distraught and confused at first, but is doing great in her foster home now!!
SARA is about 3 yrs old. We were told she is a Shep/Lab mix. We feel she looks more Shep/Golden Retriever mix...We’ve even thought maybe Carolina Dog!?? Who knows! And without DNA testing we can’t be sure of her breed, but we know she is a very sweet girl!!
SARA has a good amount of energy so she will need an active woman to get her on daily walks or hiking and lots of ball play too! She walks well on a leash and really loves to go on her walks. She is a very sweet, kind and loving girl who is also very sensitive.
SARA is housetrained. She sleeps on a dog bed (or sneaks into the human’s bed) at night.
SARA is fine to interact with other dogs over 40lbs, (walks, play, hang out) but she should be an only pet at home as she can be possessive of her people and toys. She is not good with small dogs (under 40lbs) or cats.
SARA has no experience with small/young children so we will only place her in a home with no children under the age of 13 for the safety of the children and in the best interest of Sara.
SARA bonds VERY QUICKLY with one woman and can be possessive of that one woman, so we feel the very best home for SARA would be with a single woman who is either retired or works from home and is active.
SARA’S adoption fee is $400 which includes health examination, current vaccinations, spay, microchip, flea and deworming treatment along with any other medical or dental deemed necessary by our veterinarian.
