Here's what the humans have to say about me:
** 9/30/20 -- ADOPTION PENDING **
SEPTEMBER 13, 2020: We pulled RIZZO from the local Animal Shelter. We've been working with this girlie with her training--focusing on her potty training. She is young and wants to learn, which will be easier with one on one time. She is a very quick learner and already knows her beginning verbal and hand commands for 'sit', 'stay', 'come', 'off', and 'down'. She is a young girl who was not given much attention and could have even been a 'backyard dog', so she'd much rather be playing with someone, fetching playing with some toys and nylabones (no rope toys or rawhides). RIZZO has typical terrier -inquisitive energy and loves being one on one with her person. She is good with other dogs and is not food aggressive or protective. She would be good around children if the children are taught how to treat a dog and respect a dog's boundaries. She is not a barker and prefers not to be alone. Currently she is being fed twice a day.
RIZZO has had her rabies shot and is currently due for her 1st round of puppy shots and microchip (September 2020). At the age of 7-8 months (October/November 2020) RIZZO must be spayed. All standard veterinary care described above are the adopter's responsibility (proof, via a vet bill must be provided to PDR).
Puppy Dog Ranch Rescue & Sanctuary is a (501(c)(3) nonprofit charity since 2009. Our no kill, no cage rescue and sanctuaries operate from our two home ranches (Arenas Valley and Las Cruces-New Mexico). RIZZO is located in Las Cruces. We are operating our rescues with very limited hours, by appointment. If you would like to schedule a meet-n-greet on a Saturday or Sunday (held outside), please call us to email our adoption application to you to be pre-approved. If you have questions, please call Laurie at (575) 313-7232 and leave a detailed message. Thank you!
