My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thistle was born in a colony and is what we call a bonus kitty as he and his 4 siblings were brought into the program when we TNR’d his mom. Thistle is not a huge fan of being picked up, but has absolutely no qualms with plopping onto your lap for some serious snuggling! Start to pet him and that motor immediately kicks on and 3 pets in has kicked up to overdrive! When he’s not lounging in a lap, Thistle enjoys pursuing his siblings in a game of chase that ends in a wrestling match! His favorite toy is a ball and you’ll often see him in hot pursuit of a ball he’s subduing! If you’re looking for a lap warming purr-monster, then Thistle is the boy for you!

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
